What is this yellowish stuff coming out of my oil paint tube?
Q. I paint with oils, and I've noticed that some kind of yellow stuff comes out of the tube. What is that stuff? I know there's linseed oil, but there's this stuff that's yellow and it pretty much looks like boogers. It's not liquid.
Asked by lepetitdejeuner - Sun Mar 23 15:11:04 2008 - - 9 Answers - 0 Comments

A. It is the oil base separating out of the paint. You need to squish it around to mix it back into the paint. It's like any liquid that is mixed. The lighter part (the oil) will separate out from the heavier part (the paint pigment).

A. Software to create RSS feeds, capture video and audio. For the podcasting piece - The easiest way to create an RSS feed is to use software. A podcast is simply an RSS feed that contains an audio file in the enclosure field. The software I would recommend is FeedForAll (there is a Windows and a Mac version). The following will walk you through the process of creating a podcast using the software - (there is also a built in wizard). You can download an evaluation version from If you need audio recording software look at their podcasting bundle. For a video podcast follow the tutorial but enter the video file instead of an audio file in the enclosure field (as shone in the tutorial). If you need software to make the video Pinnacle… [cont.]

What is that sticky stuff on the back on credit cards that you get in the mail?
Q. When you get most credit cards in the mail, they come attached to the paper with a sticky tack kind of stuff. It's usually a green-ish color. It can be removed easily and is very flexible. What is this stuff called, and where can I buy it? It's not rubber cement as some have suggested, that I'm positive of.

Previous tenants left behind stuff in rental home. How long do I have to keep it before I can throw it out?
Q. I rented a house and the previous tenants left behind several boxes of legal paperwork (business contracts, tax forms and the like.) The rental agent called them and they were supposed to pick this stuff up in August but never showed. It's been four months since I moved in. Can I throw this stuff out, or am I legally obligated to keep it? I don't have their phone number but they have mine.

How long does the crusty stuff stay when you have your belly button pierced?
Q. Also how long will it hurt while that crusty stuff is there? I've had my belly button pierced for about a month now and it just now started to get that nasty crusty stuff coming outta it... and that white/yellowish goo. How long does this normally last? Thanks for any and all help. i know it's not infected because if it was, it would smell and/or have greenish color matter coming from it.
Asked by Lil Miss Kay - Sat May 26 13:52:48 2007 - - 8 Answers - 0 Comments

A. That will last proably a week, mabe two. The important thing is not to touch it. some peircers will tell you to clean it off but trust me it only takes longer to heal when you do that. when you take it off it damages the new skin tissue that is trying to form and it re opens the wound. the white/yellowish goo is just a sign of healing and should be left alone for the most part. After your percing is healed, from time to time you will still get a little crust, just like when you get in your eyes in the morning. its just toxins your body cleared out over night. when it stopps hurting is different for everyone. On average though, a month or two into it should do it. so, I'd say youre close.

Q. There is a layer of yellowish stuff covering the bottom of pool. It looks like algea but not sure if it is. All tests, Cl/Br and pH were in the right range. The stuff can be scrapped off with brushes and get suspended in the water, but it will settle back down after a few hours. The pump has been circulating for 6 hrs a day.

Q. I think I read about it in Seventeen, where it's this bottle of clear stuff and you paint a little onto the inside of your shoe and it becomes like a clear cushion? And then you can peel it off afterwards? If you dont know, do you know anything I could put onto the inside of my shoe, because it digs into my foot a little bit. And I need to wear them for prom. A. i'm not sure what product you're referring to but i use this stuff that's especially for scuba divers - so they don't chafe in their wetsuits...you can find it at any sports/athletic gear store and it comes in a roll-on bottle. i use it on my heels and that spot just above as well as on my pinky toes - it prevents blisters from the shoe constantly rubbing your skin the product i found: sport shield, antifriction skin guard whatever they call the product where you live - its the same thing no cushion - but there is comfort... dd

Asked by katesrevenge - Wed Nov 14 03:13:36 2007 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Here are the rules: All liquids, gels and aerosols must be in three-ounce or smaller containers. Larger containers that are half-full or toothpaste tubes rolled up are not allowed. Each container must be three ounces or smaller. All liquids, gels and aerosols must be placed in a single, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag. Gallon size bags or bags that are not zip-top such as fold-over sandwich bags are not allowed. Each traveler can use only one, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag. You can have as many bottles (3 ounces or smaller) as you want, as long as they fit in this quartz-size plastic bag. Your herbal extract should be OK.

A. >You got no business with anything that could hurt you. It's lighter fluid or nothing. Using other flammable liquids will either not produce light and heat, or will remove the hand from your arm as bits of tiny shrapnel fill the space that your brain should have been occupying. No, they don't come filled...but whoever sells them probably has the proper fuel.<

A. I feel for you because I have the same questions. I'm going to college again this year to finish for my Business Degree and will be required to take some courses on Business Law and I can't wait. Unfortunately, it will be sometime next year that I get to those courses so I cannot help now. I would say, since you are not getting any help at all from these people to talk to a Legal Aid (free lawyer in your area) you can search for legal aid in your area and just pick one or two to talk to about it. You can also take an online course (they are usually pretty cheap around $89 per course for a community college online course) just pick one that mentions it goes over business law. AND don't let anyone tell you crafts are dead or a waste of… [cont.]

Q. I am about to cook this turkey and I wanted to just stuff it with apples,. Is there a special way to do this? Its a twelve pound bird.
Asked by midnightrambler - Mon Feb 4 14:23:52 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Hey i did this with my old employer, ( greek restaurant) and you have to cut up as much apples as you would bread crumbs, get some no salt butter, raisins, and nuts of your choice, walnuts, or pecans, almonds and instead of poultry seasoning we used a mixture of cinamon, and nutmeg. then you just shove it in the butt end of the bird, and cook your turkey, What also works good on your bird is don't use salt, and instead of a lid, get a cherry cloth and damp it in butter ( no salt ) and rest it on top and cook it that way. mmm... When the bird is done let it sit for about 10-15 min to let the juices come out, ( don't penetrate with a knive or it will ruin the process) enjoy.

What kind of stuff do you start learning in beginner gymnastics?
Q. Hi I wanted to know what kind of stuff do they teach you in beginner/level 1 gymnastics. The reason why is because i really want to be a cheerleader and i cant do any flips or anything at all. And tryouts are in like 4 months for 9th grade. Please help.
Asked by So-AdoRablE - Sun Nov 22 15:43:31 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. they dont teach handsprings, backhandsprings or anything of that style, if thats what your asking in level one/ beginner gymnastics ( atleast at most gyms), although it may depend on the gym its self. they teach rolls, handstand bridge, bridges, handstands, carthweels, backwalkovers & front walkovers. you'd want to do tumbling, rather then gymnastics - because gymnastics includes 4 events ; bars, vault, beam &+ floor. I'd sign up for a tumbling class, & at the most you'll be able to do backwalkovers & front walkovers. ( keep up with the gymnastics class & im sure you'll be able to do handsprings within 8 months if you practice hard!) good luck & the best of wishes with cheerleading yours truely, stunnah.

Q. My family has a lot of stuff in our basement that we want to sell and get money for because we are re-doing are basement into an entertainment center with a huge flat screen and more. We need to get rid of all of our old stuff though. Please leave comment with what you think the best way is. Thanks a lot!

A. If on line selling is what you would prefer, but would rather steer clear of Ebay, there are many sites available for personal sales, such as Google, Sell dot com and Craigslist. To sell personal items without having a garage sale, you might consider contacting an auction house.
